Submit required documents (court order, photo, ID, insurance, and any restraining orders) beforehand. Prepare questions and confirm if photos or gifts are allowed (prohibited in abuse cases).
Before the first visit, the monitor must submit Form H272 to inform the court of their assignment. This form verifies compliance with Section 1166 of the California Penal Code and mandates reporting any suspected child abuse within 36 hours. Copies will be shared with both parents, attorneys, and the court.
During visits, we record:
